• First download the WAV version of the sound you want to use, making a note of where you save it to.
  
  
• For Windows 2000 go to Control Panel
  (start button, 'settings', 'control panel')
  and double click on 'Sounds and Multimedia'.
  
  
• Select the sound you want to change e.g. 'Exclamation' and then click on 'browse' to go to the location where the new sound is stored.
  
  
• Select the sound you want, click ok and then click ok again to close the sounds dialogue window.
  
  
• Other versions of Windows should work in a similar way
